Investors Collaborative Portfolio Report
Investors Collaborative Premium, March 2024
It’s a big, big month of additions to the portfolio!
With the advent of improve screening tools (which you can freely use over at https://algosneversleep.com/) we decided it was time for another round of community additions! And since no one on the Slack wanted anything in particular investigated, we came up with our own list!
Not all of the additions are added purely due to scientific criteria however, there is a healthy dose of “this looks theoretically sound, and quite timely” with the inclusion of multiple versions of various Bitcoin and Crypto-space strategies from the community, as well as several custom blends, with varying levels of risk inherent to each. The paywall and framework is going to contain a very fun story about these strategies.
Additionally, the writeup process on what exactly each strategy is trying to do has begun at long last. If you expand each strategies entry within the database, there is a field labeled “Jakes Analysis” In which I’ll be putting PDF’s of writeups on either the specific strategy, its framework, or both if it warrants it.
And as a final note, if you thought you were subscribed but either aren’t being charged anymore or just can’t log in, DM me on Discord. Our payment processor decided it was going to disconnect itself from Beehiiv and wipe out our subscription records. I’ve rebuilt them as best I could based off backup transaction records, but I’d like to make sure they’re complete.
Now, with that housekeeping out of the way, on to the paywall ladies and gentlemen.
As always, here’s the link to the Database;
As you’ll likely note, there are roughly 25 new strategies included. A great deal of BTC strategies have made it in to the portfolio, as the community has come up with a novel new way of attempting to profit off of what they lovingly call “shitco’s.” I’m sure its a term of endearment.
Breakdowns of all the individual strategies have begun to be written, starting with two of the more prominent frameworks, Biorecked and Rally Rider. You can find the writeups in the expanded information section available by clicking on the arrows on the righthand side of the individual database entries.

“How do I tell what’s new?” you may ask.
Ta-da! A list of all strategies currently being evaluated for inclusion in the database. Our standards for inclusion range from a very detailed screening method, which Garen elaborates on in the video below, to “this strategy looks like it solves a very specific problem that we have” with little more specific details than that.
As a final point, and a request to you the reader, how do you feel about the top/bottom 5 format? After a couple months, I’m finding that I’m highlighting the same couple incredibly volatile strategies, over and over again for better or worse. M
anwhile, something like 🧪Refined HFEA - 8% doesn’t get nearly the attention that it deserves as an incredibly solid all-round performer. Thoughts? Opinions? Let me know in the Slack channel what you think!
And now, without further ado, the top and bottom strategies of the month!

Top 5 Strategies
Looks like a rough month overall for the market, and the portfolio at large. A great deal of strategies are more or less flat on the month, making for some relatively interesting results.
Strategy 1

So, this is a very simple explanation. This strategy sat in 96%-100% ERX (2x Energy Bull ETF) for the entire month. Energy companies rode a big wave up this month, and this strategy profited greatly from it.
Strategy 2

Much less straight of a line than #1, but a couple good bets on leveraged long Nasdaq ETF’s put this one in at a solid +%7.5.
Strategy 3
With all of the gains coming in the last 3 days, good directional bets on leveraged long 20+ year bonds (TMV) and shorting tech (SQQQ) gave it enough juice to get it to a net +%5 on the month. Thanks you to whoever made the “Cumulative return of BND” and “MAR or TLT” checks, you made this strategy some money this month!
Strategy 4
As best as I can tell, this one lucked in to its +5%, the day after this screenshot was taken, the window shifted and put this at a -6% for the last 30 days. We landed 4 checks deep on the last day, behind a “mid-range volatility” check and a RSI dip buy on Semiconductors.
Regardless, this one is still down 50% and isn’t showing any signs of recovery. Very choppy

Strategy 5
It’s slowly clawing its way back from its -50% drawdown. I’m still not convinced. After a couple attempts at riding a combination of tech, utilities, and volatility, netting a -17% DD on the month, some more well-timed plays on the same ETF’s managed to help claw back to +8% on the month.

Explanation of Bottom 5 Strategies
I’m doing this section a little differently this time.
The entire selection this month is strategies that I can’t in good conscience say I understand. They’re too long to analyze, they’re patently overfit, and IMO should not have been made. For this month, I’m replacing this section with a simple statement.
Things with the “Testing and Science” tag are just that, purely analysis. If you’re looking for strategies that offer some modicum of explanation and reasoning, please limit this tag from the database view. We offer no guarantee of quality on anything, but this is the tag we give things that we can’t even offer an explanation for why we added it beyond “we want to see if it works.” Please, take this information and proceed with it how you see fit.
And with that, I leave you for the month.
I apologize for the delay in getting this out, lots has been going on behind the scenes with Garen and I, not to mention needing to fix the processing issue before I could re-instate premium subscriptions and gift you all a years subscription from today.
I invite you to come watch my to-do list grow precariously high day after day over on Slack, where you can tell me exactly what you’d like to see in future editions of this newsletter!
